Exploring Naramata Wine Country ~ Salmon Dinner In The RV ~ S4E17
Waking up to rainy/cloudy weather was definitely not in the plans. Regardless, we put on our thermal gear and head out for a day of exploring. This day for definitely for Biz & G. This would be the last time they would be together exploring a new area like this for a while. I played DD for the day while they sipped wine and Kobuk and I sat outside and enjoyed the amazing countryside. Between everyone reading this and me…I enjoyed the quit time. Then we headed back to the RV to cook some Silver salmon I caught right before hitting the road. And of course, we had to sample some of the wine from the days adventures.
Alaskan Solstice RV Trip ~ What Was She Thinking? ~ Lots Of Folk Music
After spending time slide out to slide out in Seward we were very excited to explore outside of town! Its not that we do not like the spot we have, it is just great to be able to go out and explore and not be boxed in! Anyway, we make it to Moose Pass for the festival and try a new RV park. The attendant thought we were going to park the RV and bust out a tent…maybe? People always ask how I am able to stay calm in certain situations. Im not too sure but while editing this video I was getting frustrated! Then we head over to find out Kobuk couldnt come in to the festival and we had to put him in the kennel. For those tired of hearing about the dog, sorry, you will just have to get used to it 🙂 Then we dance the night away and drink some local beer. We ended up having 6 people in the RV. 3 on the blow up mattress, one in the passenger seat and G, Kobuk and I sleeping in the back in our beds. All in all it was a great time! Thanks for reading this short story that you could have just watched instead 🙂
RV Workamping ~ Alaska Sea Life Center ~ Live & Work From Your RV
Over the last two years G and I are been very fortunate to be a part of the Sea Life Center. We have been given a RV spot on Resurrection Bay with water and electric in exchange for hours at the center. It has been an awesome experience and if you are currently searching for a work camping spot in Alaska be sure to check out! http://www.alaskasealife.org/
RV Work Camping In Alaska ~ Kenai River Stream Watch ~ Tom & His Summer Work
It was awesome being able to hear some of Tom’s stories. He was very soft spoken and I tired to enhance the audio as much as I could. If I would have known we would have been meeting him I would have brought my lav mic. The details regarding the weir were enlightening for me and I hope you got the same out of it as I did!
Setting Up The RV ~ Talkeetna Beer Fest ~ Last Trip Of The Summer!
We get everything set up and head over to the small town of Talkeetna Alaska. When you combine good food, beer and company you are certain of a good time. We had an awesome time at the beer fest and at Talkeetna. Now, I am ready for the upcoming trip back to the lower 48. I think next year, if we do go back to Alaska, the video format will be about the opposite of what is was this year.
RV Newbie Experience ~ Chilly Root Farm ~ Grilled Sockeye Salmon
After an amazing egg scramble breakfast with purple potatoes we headed back to twin sisters to grab a coffee. Afterwords, we headed over to Chilly Root Farm for a quick tour. If G and I ever get land up here in Alaska we are for sure getting a high tunnel greenhouse! Afterwords I try my hand at grilling salmon and it turned out amazing
Homer Training Run ~ Grace Ridge Brewing ~ Aj’s Steakhouse Dinner
What do you all think of this voice over version of our travel vlog? We start the video soon after our last video detailing our trip into Homer. We head down to the spit to run a 6 mile run for our upcoming race. Then we stop by one of Alaska’s newest breweries and try some of their beer. Lastly, we stop by AJ’s steakhouse for a rare right now and end our night playing on the beach and a bonfire. Enjoy your weekends!
Two Sisters Bakery ~ RV Burgers ~ Homer Spit Sunset ~ HTP2
Whenever we visit home Two Sisters is always part of our visit. It just so happens it was down the road from us at the RV park. In the years past we have taken Zep with us and camped in tent camping along the spit. Now that we have Kobuk that is not an option! After a quick run we made some awesome burgers in the RV and headed to film at AK Starfish. Sooner or later I will be interviewing Marci for the channel as she is another true Alaskan business owner. I also did some filming for the band Black Water Railroad Co. We end the night with a drone flight over Homer Alaska!
Leaving For Homer, AK ~ Arriving At An Ocean Front RV Park ~ HTP1
HTP1 =’s Homer Trip Part 1. For those still watching our videos we will begin to post adventure videos for the rest of the summer if all goes to plan! We absolutely love Homer! I am sure you will notice this from our videos. If you ever make it to Alaska in your RV you have to check out this awesome little town! Mail Monday will be posted tomorrow. G and I are training for a 16 mile race and we ran 12 miles today after returning from a music festival for her birthday. There is no way I can edit the mail time Monday video with how tired I am right now! Enjoy!
