Morning Run ~ Restocking In Mountain Home ~ New RV Under Bay Heater ~ S4E29

This, like many of our RV boondocking spots, was amazing! The sunrise was one of the best I had seen in a while. The steam coming off of the water was gorgeous and the run afterwords was just as good. After showering, we head into town to restock on supplies and I gather some gear to try a new underbay heating option.

  • Hey. We used to live in Mtn Home. Was in the AF stationed there. It is an outstanding location with great outdoor activities. You need to go back when it is warm

    Love following your adventures

    • Thanks for watching Craig! I loved the area and hope to make it back to the campground we stayed at. I can only imagine what this place looks like when it is summer!

  • Hey Chris and G,
Looks like you had another successful trip down the Alcan! I saw you were passing by Boise so I thought I would say hello. Last time we spoke I was in Seward on my way to Boise ID. I moved our family down here from Seldovia/Homer towing our 5th wheel. We are enjoying our new life/job here in America. Looking forward to using our trailer on some Summer outings to Yellowstone and down into Utah and Arizona. Three years ago I took Cara and 3 of 7 kids from Homer to the Southern tip of Texas in our Jamboree class C. We spent Christmas on South Padre Island. We did a down the coastal route and up through the desert return. The kids had never been out of Alaska. They had a blast and made lasting memories. Since we traveled through Canada in November and March we hit -30 below. We pretty much drove straight through with short nights, sometimes leaving the rv running or getting up every hour to start the engine. We basically dry camped with 2-5 gallon water jugs. I just rv antifreezed everything. We had -60 sleeping bags too. Well, I hope you all have a Happy Holiday Season and have safe travels down to somewhere a bit warmer.
