Race Day ~ Kobuk Crashes The Race ~ Food & Back To Seward ~ MT3
We wake up early to head over to downtown Anchorage so the girls could start their race! Shorty after the race started I headed close to the midway point to cheer them on. Kobuk pulled so hard on the leash that he pulled it out from under my feet and greeted G on the course! It was super embarrassing but we had no casualties. Then we had dinner with Bri and her family before heading back to Seward.

It wasn’t until G and I were together for a year did I know or understand what a race expo was. It is basically a way for companies to show their latest gear to their target audience. In other words, it is smart marketing and G eats it up! Haha. Then I discuss a video I saw on YouTube and how I completely agree with it. Later in the video I discuss how politics and greed has been playing a role in boondocking here in Alaska.
Heading To The Her Tern Half Marathon ~ Cabela’s RV Boondocking ~ MT1
MT =’s Marathon Trip. So, we headed to Anchorage for the weekend for G and Bri’s half marathon put on by a local running store called Skinny Raven. We were lucky and found a spot to boondock at the local Cabela’s after realizing the parking lot was totally packed. Then we headed out for a quick and rare dinner at the Spenard Roadhouse

It is always a hard sell whipping out your camera and filming without really knowing someone. After getting to know Bruce and speaking with him I felt comfortable getting the camera out and showing a little bit of what we did along the river. Once I got the camera out Bruce was all for it! For the amount of time we were down there and knowing the trash was just picked up the day before, we got a TON of stuff from the river!

It was an honor when Brook asked if I wanted some second hand fishing gear from her late father. She gave us the gear this Fall when we visited on our way to Arizona. I figured with the amount of people we invited up and friends we already knew here, any extra fishing gear would be a good thing! Then I discuss the fishing technique here at the Russian River. If it doesn’t make any sense yet, do not worry, I will be showing it in tomorrows video. Then we make some awesome burgers, thanks again Autumn! Finally, after some mix up’s, I am finally heading over to put some hours in with the Stream Watch Program
Work Camping In Alaska ~ Kenai River Stream Watch Program ~ Trip 1 Part 1
The Kenai Stream Watch Program is an amazing program to look into if you are going to be spending time in Alaska during the summer. I will be uploading a detailed video about this program later. However, I wanted to give you an idea of a typical trip before I do so. With this program you get an awesome spot for free and have a prime location for fishing! Over the next three days I will be posting about our experience here.
Hope Alaska History ~ Cooking Salmon Dinner ~ Weboost Eqo Test Results
I know it is a bit odd to have me give the oral history of a place but it has been very difficult to get things lined up this summer. We explored the small town of hope and sat at the bar and had a beer while watching the sunset over the Turnagain Arm. Then, we have an awesome sockeye salmon dinner with veggies! The video picks up again the next morning as we leave the camp ground and I give the results of the Weboost Eco. Just kidding. We make our way down south to our new home for the summer, Seward. I have traveled many places in my lifetime but Seward is honestly one of the best all around places I have ever visited in my entire life! The drive down was great and I loved the driving sequence as the songs that fit with it fit very well! The end section is something both G and I really mean. All of those who support us with your positivity truly keep us going on the road. It feels as though we have SO many behind us and it helps a lot! Live Q&A coming soon!
Back In ALASKA ~ 7.9 MPG In Our RV ~ Free Boondocking In Anchorage ~ S3E58
We wake up from our free boondocking spot in Beaver Creek and I feel MUCH MUCH better! We then get all set up and head over to the US border control. We show him our Canadian Firearm Declaration and Kobuk’s rabies papers and we are on our way. We stop off in Tok and we get some of that cheap US gas again and I do the math to find out we got 7.9 MPG! Also, on a side note, do you think that car was trying to get me to hit him? That has never happened before and still has not happened since. Then we make it into Anchorage where we boondock at the local Cabela’s.
