Catching Up In California ~ Bicycle Stolen ~ California RV Traffic ~ S1E38
After arriving in Arizona we stayed there for some holiday activities. After AZ we headed over to the coast of California and hung out with some of our friends here. One night while I was sleeping outside of our friends house my bike was stolen. Then we try and get through all of the horrible traffic in LA.
Exploring & Hiking Zion ~ RV Camp Spot Opened Up! ~ Setting Up Camp ~ S1E35
After a full day of hiking we made it back to the Info Center. If you enjoy a challenging hike check out observation point! I asked one of the park rangers about parking an RV outside of a campground. She said with certainty that we would be ticketed if we did not find a camp spot. So began a frantic search for an RV spot and we found one! Lucky!
My First RV Driving Accident ~ How It Happened ~ Arriving In AZ ~ S1E34
Well…it is bound to happen when you get an RV. When you run into a full timer that has NEVER hit anything, take their picture. You have just encountered a rare breed of person that you do not often meet. Ours happened out of nowhere, like most wrecks do. Luckily for us, no one was hurt.
Through The Tunnel ~ Driving Zion National Park ~ Advice On Finding A Camp Ground ~ S1E33
After some cold sweats we make it through the tunnel in our RV. On the other side we are greeted by even more amazing scenery. After we search briefly we find a parking spot and plan to stay there overnight.
Arriving At Zion ~ Buying Vrs Bring A RV To Alaska ~ The Tunnel Of Fear ~ S1E32
Whatever you do, do not take your RV in the south entrance of Zion! We learned the hard way. They actually stop traffic on the other side of this tunnel so we can go through. If we move to far from one side to the other it will hit the roof of our RV. But, alas, we get to the tunnel no problem!
Snowy Mountain Class A RV Driving ~ Best Scenery Of The Trip Thus Far! ~ S1E27
This was one of my biggest fears. Waking up to snow and the realization that I had to drive about 40 miles in it…not good. But, after some slow downhill driving we made it to a warm, snow free valley. Then we get to a small town and I get to eat one of my favorite foods ever… Chipotle.
Leaving Omaha ~ Atlas Gets A Bath ~ More Front Suspension Problems ~ S1E22
After hanging out with G’s grandfather we decided to hit the road. First, we gave Atlas a much needed bath and try and figure out a weird noise we have been hearing for a while. After trying to get that figured out we hit the road West and end up boondocking at Walmart.
Planning The Route North ~ The History Of G & I ~ Bad Arkansas Traffic ~ S1E21
Once you have a bad experience with an aspect of rv life, you never forget it! The terrible road we drove down had a lasting effect on me and now I check back road highways before I drive down them. With that said, I show you how I check roads. Then I discuss how G and I met!
RV Bike Rack Fixed ~ “The Bridge Of Fear” ~ Back Country Louisiana Driving ~ S1E19
We decided to take the scenic back country Louisiana route. This is easily done with a car, with an RV it is not so easy. First of all, every little bump feels as though the RV is about to fall apart. Also, you may run into a low clearance situation…like this video.
New Orleans Morning Run ~ Driving Out Of The City ~ RV’s Are Not Meant To Drive In N O ~ S1E18
We loved our time at the French Quarter RV park as well as New Orleans. However, it was time to hit the road. Sadly for us, drivers would not let us in when we had to switch lanes. With that said, it took a while longer for us to make it out of the Big Easy but finally made it out of town!
