Product Description
The Kenai Peninsula is situated in a Southern part of Alaska. With this said, it is not the best location to view the lights. The Northern city of Fairbanks is a much better location to view the lights. To complicate matters further, Seward is known to be covered by a marine layer most of the time. However, while Seward is covered, only 12 miles up the road there is clear skys. This is why mile 12 along the Seward Highway is a popular spot for those who wish to view the Northern Lights. This shot is from the Mile 12 pulloff.
