It is always a hard sell whipping out your camera and filming without really knowing someone. After getting to know Bruce and speaking with him I felt comfortable getting the camera out and showing a little bit of what we did along the river. Once I got the camera out Bruce was all for it! For the amount of time we were down there and knowing the trash was just picked up the day before, we got a TON of stuff from the river!

It was an honor when Brook asked if I wanted some second hand fishing gear from her late father. She gave us the gear this Fall when we visited on our way to Arizona. I figured with the amount of people we invited up and friends we already knew here, any extra fishing gear would be a good thing! Then I discuss the fishing technique here at the Russian River. If it doesn’t make any sense yet, do not worry, I will be showing it in tomorrows video. Then we make some awesome burgers, thanks again Autumn! Finally, after some mix up’s, I am finally heading over to put some hours in with the Stream Watch Program

The Kenai Stream Watch Program is an amazing program to look into if you are going to be spending time in Alaska during the summer. I will be uploading a detailed video about this program later. However, I wanted to give you an idea of a typical trip before I do so. With this program you get an awesome spot for free and have a prime location for fishing! Over the next three days I will be posting about our experience here.
Hope Alaska History ~ Cooking Salmon Dinner ~ Weboost Eqo Test Results
I know it is a bit odd to have me give the oral history of a place but it has been very difficult to get things lined up this summer. We explored the small town of hope and sat at the bar and had a beer while watching the sunset over the Turnagain Arm. Then, we have an awesome sockeye salmon dinner with veggies! The video picks up again the next morning as we leave the camp ground and I give the results of the Weboost Eco. I plan to have over 20 test locations before summers end.

We head out on another trip here in Alaska in our RV. This time we head to the small town of Hope! Tomorrow’s video will explain a bit more about the town. In this video we get ready to head out and unbox the Weboost Eqo and get some early readings to see if it helps us with our internet situation.
Pros & Cons Of An Older Tow Car ~ $550 Repair Bill ~ Leaving Anchorage ~ S4E3
If you are considering getting a tow car for your RV this may be a worthwhile video. Looking back, investing in another tow car was just not an option. However, you may not be in that situation. Not only was G’s car older, we also had to do a very specific sequence to tow it. If the sequence is done wrong then we destroy the transmission. Before taking it to the shop I changed the plugs, wires, cap, rotor and ignition coil. But, alas, we make it out of Anchorage.
Cabela’s Boondocking ~ Tow Car Delay ~ Cooking A Healthy RV Pizza ~S4E2
If we do happen to boondock in Anchorage we always stay at the local Cabela’s. The lot is large, clean and safe. After a morning at Cabela’s we head to the shopping area of Anchorage and notice the roof leaking. A quick repair job was done and then we head back tot he RV to cook an amazing Pizza!

After some morning chores we finally hit the road in our RV. We are joined by Biz, who you will be seeing a lot of, and Jarod. We then drop off G’s car and then head to pick up some food for the road. Lastly, we end our day in the Cabela’s parking lot and cook an awesome salmon dinner!

We awoke to our full-time RV fridge beeping at us. We have had a decent amount of trouble with the NorCold fridge. I feel as though it has caused us the most trouble in our time int he RV thus far. Later we head down a beautiful road towards what we hope is better road conditions.

Lots and lots of driving this day. We were trying to make it south before the snow hits. To drive out of Alaska you actually have to drive north until you get to the town of Tok then it is a slow drive south from there!
