Valley Of Fire State Park ~ Saying Goodbye To Fred ~ Waterfront RV Boondocking ~ S4E35

We start our day by heading into Valley Of Fire State Park. If you happen to boondock or travel through this area we highly suggest it. The hiking trails were short but amazing to experience. Then, we go into the next day where we leave fred, dump our tanks and scout out our new home base for the next week or so.

RV Bay Heater Success ~ Something Built A Nest In Our Tow Car ~ S4E31

The two days that covered these last two videos were pretty intense. Not only did we travel on roads we shouldn’t have, I found a stowaway hiding under the hood of our tow car! After all that excitement we take a gorgeous drive to our new camping spot and get setup. Finally, Kobuk gets to frolic around in the fresh powder!

Morning Run ~ Restocking In Mountain Home ~ New RV Under Bay Heater ~ S4E29

This, like many of our RV boondocking spots, was amazing! The sunrise was one of the best I had seen in a while. The steam coming off of the water was gorgeous and the run afterwords was just as good. After showering, we head into town to restock on supplies and I gather some gear to try a new underbay heating option.

Dolly Vs. Flat Towing ~ RV Battery Testing ~ Exploring Bend ~ S4E25

I have noticed a lot of comments mentioning the pro’s and con’s of flat towing vs dolly towing. It seems as though people have their camp and are sticking with it. The one thing that influenced me was someone in the industry rv trying to set a tow dolly and laughing when I said some people say tow dollies are easier. He was red faced and sweaty and looked at me and said they had no idea what they were talking about. I, for one, have had no problems with my 4 on the floor setup. Backing up has not been a problem but binding has been…that is because I have a cheaper tow bar. Anyway…we head into Bend. And no, we did not go rock climbing. Exploring and relaxing took priority. Then I discuss how going with the flow in regards to eating is key for my sanity and end the day with a supply run and a “good” rating for our cranking battery.

G Returns ~ Lacamas Trail Run ~ Preparing The Laundry ~ S4E21

After a few days of getting work done at roadmaster G arrived back to the RV. She was away throwing a surprise birthday party for a friend of hers in California. Fuzz and I head to the airport to pick her up and Kobuk about had a panic attack when he saw her again…it was only a few days! Then we get some running in on an awesome trail. What did you think of the sequence? Was it cool seeing the local area or no? Then we head back to the rv, shower and get ready to get some laundry done. Also, from now on, I think I may post the boondock review videos on Saturday from now on…even if there are multiple videos.

Health & The Road ~ Spare RV Tire & Rim Rack ~ G Drives & I Fly ~ S4E20

There are tons of RV channels out there now so I hope the one lesson you take from watching us is the importance of staying healthy. I have seen and heard way to many stories of people saving their entire lives to travel (RV or Suitcase) and not be able to do it because they are not healthy enough. Take care of yourselves people! Then I discuss the spare tire rack and how I attached G’s bike to it. Then G gets some driving time in while I fly the drone to get our new exit for our videos. Lastly, we drive into the Portland area to do some exploring.

Almost Perfect RV Boondocking Spot ~ Biz’s Last Video! ~ s4e18

Whatever RV we get next, be it a diesel pusher or a toy hauler, having larger capacity for fuel, water and battery power is a must. This spot would have been perfect for me if I had more battery storing capacity. If I were to come back here to get work done I would be running the generator all day and evening just to power my laptop. If I had a larger battery bank I could charge the batteries with the Gen and then use that power storage for 5-7 hours easily. With my current setup my batteries die around 1-2 hours max. We then hit the road towards our friends in Spokane.

Cassiar RV Boondocking ~ Dump Station Found ~ New Hazelton, BC ~ S4E13

We start the day at an awesome free roadside parking spot for our RV. It included trash cans and vault toilets. After some timelapse and drone shots we get some breakfast and clean up the RV. After cleaning we head South toward the town of New Hazelton. Once arriving in town we luck out and find a full dump station with fresh water. We end the day by buying gas to repay for us using the dump station.
